We are delighted to be working with this very successful business in Huddersfield, who require some additional support in their Accounts team during a very busy period. After the initial onboarding which will be onsite in their impressive offices in Huddersfield, you will be given the flexibility to work from home or office to suit you. This role will involve: 

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet, variance analysis, KPIs and commentaries and own all aspects of the accounts including Vat reporting.
  • Analysis, interpretation and communication of financial data to relevant stakeholders in support of internal reporting requirements
  • To support on year end preparation and the audit process
  • To self-manage and take a proactive approach to your own personal development including CPD
  • Have an all-round understanding of the department to provide assistance and support wherever needed
  • Identifying potential process improvements and implementing changes agreed with the Finance Reporting Manager
  • Working with financial and operational teams to review processes and controls, identifying improvements and implementing solutions
  • To set individual team member objectives, carrying out frequent one to ones alongside quarterly appraisals for direct reports in support of the Finance team’s objectives
  • Assisting in review of monthly management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet, variance analysis, and commentaries.
  • To support the Finance Reporting Manager on projects and process change across the entire Finance Function
  • To assist with the integration of any newly acquired entities in line with standard processes and ways of working
  • To support the Group FD and Group FC as required

Experience and Qualifications 

  • Qualified ACA / CIMA / ACCA or equivalent (or by experience)
  • Experience of incorporating analysis and problem-solving principles
  • Experienced in financial reporting
  • Extensive Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint experience

The role will initially be for a 3 month period and requires an immediate start. The business is paying circa £45,000 plus benefits which includes a very flexible working pattern.
