Varied Tax analyst role within the finance department, based in Weymouth, hybrid working system. The Tax Analyst role will offer the opportunity to assist in the development of existing Tax Assistants, whilst also offering progression within your own career.

Description

The successful Tax Analyst will be:

  • Accountable for ensuring accurate preparation of UK quarterly and Irish bi-monthly VAT returns
  • Accountable for ensuring accurate preparation of Channel Islands quarterly GST returns
  • Responsible for accurate reporting of ecommerce sales data to 3rd party, reviewing data prepared by tax assistants and ensuring all payments made to deadlines
  • Accurate month end reporting, providing detail and clarity on variance analysis
  • Accountable for reviewing and developing best processes
  • Support the Group Tax Manager with the completion of all corporation tax computations
  • Responsible for collation of data to prepare quarterly payment on account and Management Accounts reporting and ensuring accurate preparation
  • Responsible for collation of data and preparation of accurate reporting in relation to employment tax
  • To support Tax team on ad-hoc projects as required
  • Maintain the credibility of the Tax Team by providing accurate and reliable information in a timely manner

Profile

The successful candidate will be:

  • Qualified or part-qualified AAT or ATT; and/or
  • Qualified or part-qualified ACCA, ACA or CIMA or studying towards

They will also have:

  • Experience in accounting or tax environment and ability to learn
  • Experience using SAP S/4HANA Cloud finance system
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work under own directive as well as the wider team
  • Open and receptive to new ideas and concepts
  • Good Communication skills

Desirable, but not essential:

  • Knowledge of VAT, Corporation Tax and Employment Tax
  • Interest in studying for CTA
  • Previous experience as a Line Manager
