Assistant Accountant

Our client is a global cloud based software platform (Saas). Their integrated software platform enables the optimisation of over a billion transactions for their clients annually. The business is expanding Internationally on a rapid basis, the catalyst for this growth was a Private Equity (PE) backed acquisition earlier in the year. This transaction required the recruitment of a new financial leadership team (CFO, FC, FP&A) in London. They now need to recruit a high calibre, ambitious Part-qualified / Finalist Level Accountant to strengthen the finance team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Treasury and cashflow management.
  • Cashflow forecasting and analysis; working with and developing connected management information flows that enable seamless and timely cashflow reporting and forecasting.
  • Checking cash balances against bank and credit card statements; analysing and investigating variances; month-end reporting.
  • Managing payment issues with banks, bank account control and rationalisation, bank loan reporting, bank mandates and corporate credit card control.
  • Multi-currency transaction management and reporting including FX activity.

Your profile:

  • Academically strong and currently studying for an Accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA); you may also be newly qualified.
  • Technically competent Accountant possessing 2-3 years of ‘best practice’ accounting experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to present well, ask the right questions and stand up to scrutiny.
  • Ambitious yet humble.
  • Able to apply yourself and willing to ‘get stuck in’; not too proud admit what you don’t know.
