We are recruiting for a Group Financial Accountant to join our Team based in West Yorkshire.

What will you be doing in this role?

As Group Financial Accountant at Tunstall, you will work with the Group Financial Controller in the month and year end consolidation and financial reporting processes, along with preparation of statutory accounts, and driving strong financial controls across the Group

The Ideal candidate:

Candidates will be able to demonstrate experience in the following areas:

  • Working in a group environment and hands on consolidation experience
  • Experience of statutory and management accounts preparation

Key skills and experience:

Candidates will be expected to demonstrate the following knowledge:

  • Knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP
  • Qualified accountant (preferably ACA or ACCA) with at least 2 years PQE
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Knowledge of IFS, PM10 and Tagetik would be an advantage
  • Results driven – with proven experience of delivering and exceeding expectations
  • Customer focused – delivers a high level of customer service to senior stakeholders, other internal customers and Group Finance
  • Resilient – able to deliver results in short timescales
  • Able to challenge and improve existing business processes and have an open mind regarding continuous improvement

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of the monthly consolidated financial accounts for inclusion in the Group management accounts pack.
  • Preparation of the year end consolidation package and consolidated reporting process.
  • Working with the Group Financial Controller to draft of the year end statutory accounts for both the consolidated and stand-alone Group entities
  • Working with the Group Financial Controller to ensure smooth running of the year end audit process.
  • Assistance with the planned internal financial controls review process to help identify weaknesses and improve controls across the Group.
  • Bank reconciliation and some local accounting in respect of the group corporate entities.
