Your new company
Our client is a privately owned manufacturing business, of medium size, that operate several sites across the UK and partnering with a great portfolio of clients from local authorities to major retailers. With huge investment in the business, they are planning to double in size over the next 2-3 years.
Your new role
Due to this rapid expansion, they have had some structural changes in finance and are now looking for a senior finance business partner to join the team, supporting the Financial Controller and Finance Director. Responsibilities would include:
- Preparation and review of the Sales and Cost of Sales Reconciliations leading to full product wide margin analysis
- Preparation of the Stock reconciliation and analysis
- Reporting on site overheads and daily production to ascertain overhead costs per tonne of production
- Weekly sales forecasts & variance analysis
- Supporting the FC in daily/weekly cashflow forecasting
- Goods in Transit review and calculation at month end
- Consumables review and calculation
- Shipping analysis and accruals
- This role will act as number two in cover for financial controller
- Full responsibility for producing accurate and timely management accounts for all legal entities
- Work with the support functions of Controls and Compliance to prepare the monthly management accounts
- Production of monthly reforecasts, annual budgets, and long-range plans, working with the leadership teams across the UK
- Prepare key KPI's (incl. Profitability, sales growth, and overheads) for key monthly variances and prepare meaningful commentary for leadership
- Improve and maintain periodic cash flow forecasting
What you'll need to succeed
The successful applicant will be fully qualified or highly qualified by experience, with a demonstrable background and confidence working in the manufacturing sector, for a growing SME. It is essential that there is a strong understanding of stock controls, and a clear strength in business partnering closely with operations. Experience in Sage 200 advantageous, MS Excel Advanced a must.
