Capital, Control and Charity Accountant, Hybrid role 2 days in the office rest remote.


Your new company
Our public sector client is looking to recruit an interim Capital, Control and Charity Accountant for a period of about 3 months,

Your new role
You will be responsible for the management and effective running of the Trust's Accounts Receivable, Capital, Fixed Assets, Charity accounting, Control Accounts, Accounts Payable, Tax, Financial Systems and Treasury functions, Report on aged debt to board sub-committees, business unit meetings and individual budget holders on their aged debt profile within tight deadlines and work with the budget holders to resolve issues resulting in delays to payment. Oversee the management of the creditor database, ensuring accuracy of entries and sufficient segregation of duties to comply with best practice. Finance lead on managing the payroll contract, including monitoring performance against KPIs and attending quarterly contract management meetings. Preparation and submission of VAT returns, ensuring that claims are processed accurately and compliance with statutory timetables and HMRC legislation. Responsible for the Trust's cashiering function, ensuring accurate recording of receipts and payments; in addition to security of cash and recording of cash transactions,. Monthly reconciliation of all control accounts, include bank accounts and sub-ledger control accounts ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be an ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified Accountant ideally have worked within a similar role within NHS or a similar organisation.
