Management Accountant

Michael Page are partnering with a privately owned business with a large office in Huddersfield and a further 4 sites across the UK.

Client Details

After a recent takeover the business are in a prime position to grow organically and through acquisition and are looking for a Management Accountant to join their Commercial Finance team.

Description

The role will focus on:

• Business Partnering
• Provide insightful reporting & analysis, develop budgets & forecasts, provide challenge and general financial support to ensure robust cost control and alignment to strategic plans
• Month-End - the end to end process. Inclusive of; Preparation, Accruals & Prepayments, Cost Management & Understanding, ownership of the P&L & Profit Flash commentary
• Variance Analysis whilst understanding the key drivers
• Value adding reporting
• Participation in the Coaching & Development of junior members of the team
• Management Reporting: develop and maintain company-wide reporting such as Operational KPIs, Headcount, Product performance, etc. Lead and contribute to Executive level review processes
• Projects: Finance involvement in Projects covering the Operation & Technology functions - from building a compelling business case through to delivery, tracking and post-investment appraisal

Profile

• CIMA/ACCA or equivalent Qualified
• Manufacturing, Supply Chain or Technology Finance background desirable
• Strong Business Partnering skills with the ability to challenge and influence stakeholders, build credibility and rapport
• Curiosity, collaborative, inquisitive, enthusiastic, and proactive 'can do attitude'
• Advanced skills in Excel and financial operating systems
