Schools Finance Manager

Permanent Schools Finance Manager role based in the Swindon area with great salary and benefits package


This role is an important and key role within the Finance team, reporting into the CFO with responsibility for seven schools delivering the day to day financial support required. You will be working closely with the school leaders providing business partnering building strong and enduring professional relationships, in term, allowing the post-holder to ensure sound budgeting and financial viability.

Key areas of responsibility will be within internal audit and compliance as well as management and statutory information on school activities. The post-holder will also assist the CFO with ICFP and benchmarking.

• Lead cluster-based finance teams ensuring full financial compliance
• Supervision of the Assistant Finance Manager and Finance Officers
• Approval of weekly payroll runs, ensuring full sign-off of compliance in line with SoDA
• Monthly expenditure monitoring and preparation of monthly management accounts
• Preparation of accounts for the Project Accountant and CFO to review at a consolidated level
• Report preparation and analysis
• Budgeting and forecasting

• Starting salary of between £45,500 and £47,500pa (DOE)
