Hays Senior Finance are currently supporting a high-growth, PE backed telecoms business based in Droitwich with the recruitment of a Financial Controller on a permanent basis.

Your new role
In this number two role, you will support the CFO across a number of key financial areas and become responsible for the day-to-day running of the finance function whilst helping professionalise and streamline processes.
Main duties:
- Full responsibility and oversight of month-end close and all management reporting
- Lead year-end and internal audit process, becoming the point of contact for external Auditors
- Implement financial controls, processes and a risk and governance framework
- Drive the improvement of all financial processes, tools and systems
- Management of the annual budget process and provision of monthly forecasts
- Provide financial analysis and guidance on all company activities, plans, targets and business drivers
- Support the CFO on financial strategies
What you'll need to succeed
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA preferred) with post-qualification experience
- Previous experience of working in a PE backed SME business with associated shareholder and lender/debt covenant reporting is highly advantageous
- Strong technical skills and ideally practice-trained with a 'Big 4' firm
- A proven ability to provide robust financial management and control
- Confident, self-starter who is able to work independently in a high-growth and fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership qualities and experience of managing finance staff
- Great communication skills with people at levels including senior stakeholders
- Willingness to be hands-on and support staff with a 'sleeves rolled up' approach
