Financial Accountant 12 month Fixed Term Contract 50k PA
Your new company
You will be working for a well-established British food manufacture based in Melton Mowbray, Working within the finance department as the Financial Accountant you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and completion of monthly accounts and year-end processes and all financial accounting in a fast paced, tightly controlled, and ever-changing environment. Responsible for ensuring appropriate processes and control documentation is in place. Promoting the continuous review of processes to ensure minimised risk and maximised efficiency.
Your new role
- Responsible for the overseeing the preparation of the monthly management accounts and financial report submissions as required.
- Work closely with the Shared Service centre and indirectly manage the AP/AR teams
- Liaising with external and internal auditors. Statutory and taxation report compilation in line with requirements.
- Control overhead expenditure analysis and reporting. Working closely with the budget holders to control spends and ensure costs are in line with targets.
- Continually reviewing business processes to ensure effective and efficient control.
- Support the system development of AX Office.
- Produce monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- To provide full support to the Senior Financial Accountant, Finance Manager, Head of Finance and Finance Director, including business analysis, business improvement projects and ad hoc requests.
- Preparation of balance sheet, cash flow and overhead budgets / quarterly forecasts, working closely with budget holders and providing detailed analysis as requested.
