A London based international logistics business is seeking a Group Account to join their growing team.

Operating autonomously as a subsidiary of a successful global organisation, this business has performed significantly well over the 5 years and are set to continue to grow rapidly both organically and via acquisitions.

Reporting to the Director of Reporting, this key role under the new structure will be an integral part of the team with involvement across all areas of group reporting. You will be providing overall technical accounting leadership as well as providing regular and timely financial information to the business, building and developing a strong strategic partnership between the finance function and the wider global business.


Key Duties

  • Planning & preparation of annual subsidiary accounts and support the preparation of the UK and European consolidated financial statements
  • Regularly business partner with relevant department heads, driving ad-hoc projects around acquisitions and systems transformation.
  • Day to day engagement and management of the external audit, planning and timing of statutory accounts and statutory reporting;
  • Assisting with the management of the delivery of the statutory year end accounts, within agreed timetables.


The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant, ideally with top 50 practice experience, with 1-2 years PQE.
You should have good working knowledge of IFRS and experienced in preparing or auditing statutory accounts for a large group, and strong analytical skills and an eye for detail are key.

It will be particularly valuable to have worked in the Group audit team of multi-national companies and have dealt with complex multi-currency consolidations with a very good handle of group finance from an audit perspective.
You will be a confident communicator, capable of building strong working relationships with senior stakeholders across the business.
