Elevation Recruitment Group are pleased to be working on an exclusive basis with a stable, well-established and continually expanding manufacturing and distribution business based in Sheffield. They have been trading for over 60 years and are poised for further growth which this role will be able to have a direct impact on.

They are currently looking to recruit a number 1 in finance role, reporting straight to the MD and owner, managing a team of three. It is a great time to join the company as the MD is happy for this individual to come into the business, make the role their own and develop the team to increase departmental performance.

The role of Financial Controller involves all aspects of organisational and financial reporting, providing an overall finance leadership role for the board. You will be working as part of the Senior Leadership team and providing insight and analysis over the financials to aid strategic business decision making. You will also have some responsibility for both IT and HR in this role.

Duties & Responsibilities will include:

* Leading a team of 3 in finance
* Monthly Management Accounting Pack along with variance analysis and commentary
* Budgeting and Forecasting
* Profitability and sales analysis
* Cashflow forecasting and management
* Stock analysis/ accounting
* Help the senior leadership team deliver on strategic business goals
* IT/ Systems improvement, also assessing current working practices and streamline to enhance performance
* Oversee payroll function
* Developing and mentoring the finance team - Including appraisals and 121's for team members
* Lead on annual audits
* Ownership and responsibility of the IT relationship & contracts
* Ownership and responsibility for HR

To be considered for this role you should have the following skills and experiences:

* Have previous experience in a similar role
* Qualified accountant ACA, ACCA, CIMA (Qualified by Experience may be considered)
* Expert Technical knowledge of accounting principles and procedures and application
* Have strong IT skills (Particularly Excel)
* Confident, self-starter and ability to work independently in a high growth and dynamic environment
* Great communication skills with senior stakeholders
* Willingness to support team "with sleeves rolled up" in any area as necessary
* Ability to lead, motivate and develop others
