Commercial Finance Analyst - Remote

Here at DS Smith, we are looking for a Commercial Finance Analyst for the North Region which is a key role supporting the Head of Commercial Finance and Operations. This is a remote role with monthly travel in North Europe for up to 2 days per month.

• Providing analysis to support the business in ensuring Commercial Excellence across Region North Packaging. You will undertake analysis of the key drivers of volume, revenue, and margin performance across the Region.
• Providing country level analysis to support the Regional management team in understanding performance in specific accounts whilst keeping the commercial dashboards up to date, along with insight provision behind results.
• With a firm grasp of demand planning, oversight of demand, understanding new business opportunities, volume growth opportunities and customer risks are integral to this role.
• Assisting with the sales and volume, and Key KPI forecasts and budgeting process for the NE Region, you will Challenge and understand the working platform pipeline, and assist in driving report accuracy.

About you:

• Part qualified/fully qualified Accountant
• You will have a keen commercial acumen & a passion for getting underneath the numbers to identify risks and trends, that will drive key commercial decisions to support the business achieve its short -term and long-term commercial goals.
• Previous experience in a commercial analyst role is required
