Superb opportunity for a commercially minded accountant to operate in a commercial role. No month end processes, but lots of project and investment exposure. Good prospects.

You will report to the finance and commercial departments, and will focus on maximising return on investment, as well as reviewing investment appraisals.

Description

As the Commercial Manager (Finance) you will enjoy a broad and varied role, where you will focus on problem solving, finding creative solutions to difficult problems, and reviewing business cases and investment appraisals.

Reporting the head of Commercial Development, you will partner across many areas of the business, as well as external third parties, and you will be expected to develop strong and robust business cases and financial models to support investment decisions.

Subsequently, you will need to present those business cases to the investment committee, and if approved, lead on negotiations, contract review and agreements to realise the opportunities.

Profile

The ideal candidate for this Commercial Manager (Finance) role will have a proven track record in commercial negotiation, and development of business cases and investment appraisals.

You will most likely be fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) and will be confident, and able to take the lead throughout the process, with experience of managing different stakeholder groups.

You will have the ability to be creative in your problem solving and commercial decision making, and able to model different potential outcomes to meet the needs of the internal and external parties.

Experience of working on transactions (acquisitions, disposals, investments etc) is important

Excellent communication skills are a pre-requisite, with the ability to create powerful and concise board reports which have been stress tested.

Job Offer
