Financial Controller

My Cheshire based client is currently looking to appoint a Financial Controller to be a key part of the Senior Management Team of the wider UK business reporting to the Chief Financial Officer.

You will lead the local Finance team and have day-to-day responsibility for all aspects of finance in the local business.

In addition, you will work closely with the Chief Financial Officer and the Financial Controller of the other business units to address any Group requirements.

Key Responsibilities of the role

* Review and analyse project performance
* Provide financial guidance to project leads and other members of the Senior Management Team
* Manage day-to-day cash flow including forecasting future requirements
* Review of monthly management accounts and group reporting
* Effectively manage and develop the local finance team
* Propose and implement improvements in existing processes
* Ensure adequate controls are in place
* Support the annual insurance renewal for the UK business
* Lead the audit for the company, including the preparation of statutory accounts, and ensure all other compliance obligations are met such as tax returns.
* Prepare budgets and reforecast information for the business including providing an appropriate level of challenge to the delivery teams
* Assist the CFO with ad-hoc reporting and analysis
