Our client is a market leading life sciences company that due to recent growth has created a new role for an experienced Financial Controller or Finance Director to lead the finance function.
Your new role
Working with the CEO and the VP Finance in the US you will become a key member of the senior management team that is overseeing global finance operations.
You will manage the overall day to day operations of finance, implement operational best practices, mentor and develop the team of direct reports and indirect reports as well as partner with the leadership team in developing and implementing financial strategy to support the business and be heavily involved in the development and presentation of business plans to Board and investors. This broad role will lead on the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, prepare and maintain regular financial planning reports and monthly P&L forecasts as well as leading on all tax, treasury, accounting and audit activities. You will develop and utilise forward looking, predictive tools, systems, models and activity based financial analysis to make actionable recommendations in decision making together with leadership team and deliver budget commitment, drive business plans and monitor cash flow.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with relevant experience in accounting or finance leadership, with a preference for experience in early stage / fast growth companies. You will have experience with key accounting & administration systems such as Netsuite and management of international subsidiaries and intercompany accounting. Ideally you will have had exposure to inventory management and accounting and of managing equity arrangements of a business. You will be a dynamic, self-starter who seeks to innovate and can work effectively as part of a fast-growing team.
