Financial Controller

Our client a family-run business in the manufacturing sector is now looking for a commercial Financial Controller to join the business at a time of growth and development. Reporting to the Managing Director you will be instrumental in shaping the business as they enter its next phase of development. Duties will include:-

• Overseeing the finance function, managing, developing and training the dedicated team
• Produce detailed monthly management accounts and commentary for the Board
• Produce and monitor the annual budget, liaising with the stakeholders and discussing any variances
• Detailed cash flow analysis
• Financial planning, analysing the business, pointing out areas to improve, tightening controls
• Detailed cashflow analysis, liaising with the banks to ensure funds are in place
• Key role in sourcing and implementing a new ERP system to accommodate the growth
• Develop a five-year business plan, including detailed costings and overheads

The ideal person will be an ambitious experienced Financial Controller with a very commercial outlook and keen to move into a Finance Director role. Ideally, ACA/ACCA or CIMA qualified, or exceptional QBE with a proven track record within manufacturing or engineering. Systems implementation skills and the ability to lead and motivate are key.  Please note that this role is office based.
