Real Estate Senior Associate - Treasury / Banking - OUR CLIENT is a very successful, international real estate investment and asset management firm with £billions of assets across the UK and Europe under management. They are currently looking for a Senior Associate - Treasury / Banking Accountant to join their team at their London office, to support the payments and banking function.
THE ROLE: Reporting to the Head of the Department in Luxembourg and with the main purpose to take responsibility for all matters related to banking and payments function, your duties will include but not limited to:
- Coordinating and executing bank account openings at national and international credit institutions.
- Administering bank accounts including account authorizations.
- Organising view and access permissions for internal parties.
- Creating and maintaining account overviews.
- Implementing online payment transactions.
- Supporting financial accounting on a case-by-case basis.
- Preparing month end bank reconciliations.
- Managing the approval process of invoices.
- Checking the availability of funds prior to execution of payment runs.
- Posting payments on to the system.
- Supporting a system implementation when the business is ready to implement.
- Preparing Asset Reconciliations at the end of the financial year for Funds.
- Participating in project and special tasks including reviewing of and improving processes and procedures.
- Working with the IT team to implement new systems.
THE PERSON: To apply, you are expected to have 3+ years of experience in a similar role within real estate sector or banking sector. The role would be suitable for someone who is AAT qualified or an ACCA/CIMA studier and is willing to become a qualified accountant in the nearest future. You should be able to develop sound working relationships with counterparts in other offices and on other sites including professional associations and consultants. The right candidate will be analytical with solution-oriented mindset, motivated and performance oriented. Also, you should be a confident and good communicator with strong interpersonal skills able to manage multiple requests and thrive under pressure.
