A world leading insurance business that is undergoing significant change and modernisation is looking for a tech savvy accountant for this newly created Finance Systems role. The Finance Systems Analyst will be the primary point of contact in Finance for all things around Workday. The role will sit within the Finance Transformation team and support the ongoing maintenance and development of the system, working with the Finance and Procurement functions to ensure that Workday satisfies current and future business requirements. There is also scope for this role to oversee other finance systems (such as Anaplan) as Workday reaches maturity.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Meet agreed SLA's in the handling and resolution of Finance / Procurement BAU incidents and service requests.
  • Ensure the Finance / Procurement functions and business teams are supported with training and upskilling in the use of Workday .
  • Become a Workday Finance and Procurement Subject Matter Expert, and advocate for the use/adoption of Workday to satisfy the automation and digitisation of finance and procurement processes.
  • Support the development and enhancement the Workday Finance and Procurement functionality, in line with the Workday Roadmap
  • Facilitate regular reviews of Finance and Procurement business processes and support identification and deployment of agreed process and system improvements.
  • Track and monitor Workday usage, identify trends and opportunities - to feed into the overarching Workday Roadmap.
  • Ensure materials for all users including FAQ's, self-help guides and videos to support self-service are developed and maintained.

The ideal candidate will have extensive finance systems experience (Workday preferred but not essential) in regard to business analysis and process improvement. You will need to be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with experience of how a finance function operates. You will also need to have excellent planning & project management skills and the ability to present to and influence several different stakeholders.
