Assistant Management Accountant

Our client are looking to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant for an upcoming system implementation. This is a 12 month contract to support the finance team and free up time for the current team to focus on this key project

Description

The role will entail but will not be exclusive to:

- Preparation of the monthly management accounts

- Ownership of a number of balance sheet accounts, including journal postings and reconciliations

- Business Partnering and supporting the wider business

- Preparing Advertising & Promotional actual spends to report to the marketing team, liaising with team to resolve any issues

- Posting and approval verification expenses on our Concur system, including payments

- HMRC reconciliations, including duty and VAT

- Expense analysis ensuring that items are coded to the correct accounts

- Working closely with the FP&A team

- Occasional visits to distillery in Islay

Profile

The successful candidate requires as a minimum:

- Strong technical accounting skills

- Experience in preparing management accounts

- Strong Microsoft skills

- Strong communication skills

- Ability to work independently or as part of a team

- Excellent attention to detail

- Ability to work to tight deadlines

- Ability and willingness to collaborate with other areas of the business

Job Offer

A long term contract in a fast growing business. This role will be split between office and home - with around 3 days a week spent in the office in central Glasgow
