Finance Business Partner

The Finance & Accountancy division at SF Recruitment are searching for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join our well-established client based in Coalville. The role will include covering all aspects of performance and managing the period close process including inventory, accruals, maintenance and monitoring of the effectiveness of internal controls in line with the agreed manual of authority. Responsibility for all balance sheet & P&L reconciliations and supporting the provision of the monthly reporting pack. Supporting the statutory audit process through the provision of clear analysis.

Key responsibilities:

- Production of monthly management accounts with precise analysis and insights, including variance analysis and KPI's
- Responsibility for supporting the preparation of Forecasts & Budget for all elements of P&L
- Supporting the control of Capital spend
- Participating in regular review meetings onsite with all stakeholders and budget holders to manage costs and advise on performance
- Variance analysis and understanding with supporting commentaries and analysis.
- Monthly Balance sheet reconciliations, preparation and review to identify and eliminate risk
- Supporting the annual statutory reporting process
- Provide assistance and good practice training to factories on finance and internal controls
- Implement and monitor financial controls across all departments/sites, and ensure adherence
- Respond to audit questions and requirements from Group and external auditors
- Partnering with operations and commercial team to drive business performance


Skills & Experience:

- Previous experience in a similar role
- IT/systems - JDE, Hubble & Cognos preferable but not mandatory
- Ability to work as part of a team and on an individual basis
- Recognised accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) is preferred but not essential
- Strong Excel Skills, Macro knowledge preferable
- Detailed understanding of accounting - Price/Margin/Cost
- Understanding price volume analysis
