Office Location: Horsham (Office based role)

Salary: £75,000 - £90,000

Acuity Associates has been retained by an SME, located in West Sussex, to identify candidates for the role of Financial Controller. Our client has a turnover in the region of £35m and is currently in a period of sustained growth.

We are looking for an energetic and adaptable qualified Financial Controller with a track record of adding value to organisations. As the Financial Controller, you will proactively seek out, recommend to the Board and implement initiatives that improve the finances and controls of the business.

The Financial Controller will oversee all accounting operations and be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the group’s accounting records and financial system. You will prepare budgets, forecasts, cash flows and continuously monitor and review performance against them. You will coordinate the audit process, evaluate and manage risk and ensure compliance with all statutory obligations.

The ideal candidate will be highly analytical, well organised, an exceptional problem solver and have an acute attention to detail.

You will be comfortable working with all levels of the organisation including the Board and be looking to take on greater responsibilities in the future.

Required:

• Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA) Strong technical accounting knowledge Previous experience in roles such as; SME Finance Director or Financial Controller Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Audit experience

Desirable:

• Experience of working with Netsuite Experience of working in a multi-site distribution business Private Equity ownership experience Transactional experience (Due diligence, preparing Datarooms etc)

Remuneration

• Basic salary £75,000 to £90,000 gross per annum (depending on experience) 25 days’ holiday (plus 8 days bank holidays) Usual benefits Bonus scheme depending on profile and contribution
