A leading company specialising in offering analytics services is currently looking for an experienced Financial Controller as part of their growth development plan.
Working alongside the CEO, you will be responsible for the entire finance function for all companies in the Group.
You will produce the monthly and annual management accounts and the year-end statutory accounts for each group company and the consolidated accounts. You will also monitor group cash flow and the group FX exposures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of budget and financial forecasts and variance reporting.
- Preparation of monthly and annual management company(B/S, P/L, Cashflow) and consolidated accounts
- Preparation of statutory accounts for all group companies
- Intercompany reconciliations
- Manage Accounts Receivable function(set new and renewal sales invoices)
- Company House financial filings
- Responsible for the entire annual external audit process
- Ensuring robust financial systems and processes are in place
- Oversee tax compliance in the UK and US
- Monitor key management accounting targets and performance management
- Produce regular management reports in line with targets
- Undertake financial analysis and sales reporting
- Produce ad hoc financial reports
Required Experience:
- Qualified Accountant ACA, ACCA or CIMA
- At least 5-years finance/ accounts experience
- Group accounting and budgetary experience
- Month-end journal entries (accruals, prepayments, etc.)
- Producing and managing budgets
- Monitoring key financial targets
- Knowledge of UK and US accounting principles and procedures
Required Skills:
- Experience in all accounting functions
- Sage 50 Accounts experience (legacy system)
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
- Intermediate MS Office skills, especially MS Excel (pivot tables, lookups, etc.)
- Writing Accounts Procedures
Desirable Skills:
- Overseas subsidiaries experience
- Devising key financial targets and policies
- Treasury skills including managing FX exposures
- Knowledge of MS Excel VBA Programming for creating and automation of reports
