My exclusive client is an acquisitive "buy and build" group of UK-wide Manufacturing companies with its HO in Preston.
This is an excellent and rare opportunity for a Corporate Tax specialist to work in Industry/Commerce.
Further, my client has a v modern, enlightened attitude to be prepared to listen to their preferred candidate's personal needs in terms of work/life balance - whether that means preference for part-time or full-time and also fully flexible hybrid home working as required.
My client's focus is purely on the consistent professional level of "right first time" performance in meeting statutory Corporation Tax deadlines.
Operating as the company's in-house Corporation Tax specialist, responsibilities will include:
- Production of all Corporation Tax schedules and also quarterly VAT returns for the 25 individual autonomously run independent companies based across the UK.
- Regular "remote" liaison by phone/email etc with the Unit Accountants based at each site.
- Advice and technical support to the Central Finance team in Preston re wider Tax Advisory issues ie R&D claims, Acquisition Tax etc.
- Direct point of contact for all Corporation Tax matters with the Auditors and various Tax Authorities.
Candidate profile:
- The ideal candidate will have extensive specialist Corporation Tax experience, operating in either Public Practice or Industry.
- Qualified - either CTA or ACA/ACCA.
- Preferably residing within the N West - although as stated the role offers full hybrid home working flexibility, there will likely be 2 or 3 meetings per month in Preston, especially over the busy year-end period.
- Overall, this is a fantastic opportunity which will ideally suit the "right" person who can demonstrate high personal standards in terms of strong performance delivery while at the same time seeking a company who is willing to embrace the need for flexible work/life balance - perhaps to accommodate parental responsibilities etc.
My client will offer a competitive salary package in line with your current level of experience and on a pro rata basis depending on whether the successful candidate prefers to work full time or on a part-time c 3 days/week arrangement. As a guide, my client is considering a pro rata starting salary level between c £50k - £70k (DOE) + bonus/benefits.
If this role/opportunity strongly appeals to you, we want to hear from you now - please send your CV in confidence to Martin Morgan, the retained Consultant. All relevant applicants can expect a prompt direct response.
