Succession Partners are partnering with one of the highest profile, private equity backed technology businesses in the North West to appoint a Finance Director into the business. With a current turnover of £100m+, this entrepreneurial and innovative management team have ambitious plans to double the turnover, and a target EBITDA in excess of £40m during this investment cycle, building one of the UK’s strongest tech businesses. This is a rare opportunity for a Finance Director in the North West market to join a private equity backed Group already with significant scale, but with huge market opportunities ahead due to the ongoing digitalisation of economies, both domestically and internationally.

Reporting into the Chief Financial Officer, responsibilities will include:

  • A key finance leadership role, providing strategic support to the Board and Senior Management team, as well as stakeholder management with key external investors, lenders, advisors, accountants and lawyers Ownership of operational finance, with a focus on strengthening and developing the team and investing in automation where appropriate to drive efficiency Leading change, including the integration of legacy systems onto a single platform to support the growth agenda Maintain, improve and develop, first class and timely internal and external reporting and forecasting, driving improved visibility and understanding of underlying business performance Ensure a robust financial control environment, and review and improve all financial systems and processes to drive efficiencies Strong cash flow management and monitoring, including covenant reporting Capex investment appraisal and support, and commercial cost management including negotiation with suppliers Technical accounting expert on judgement areas Lead and develop a substantial finance team (20 heads +) Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including Tax, Audit, Lenders and Investors

Characteristics and attributes of the successful candidate will include:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified Gravitas and an ability to influence at Board level An ability for communicate a clear financial message to non-financial stakeholders Experience leading a substantial finance team and leading change and continuous improvement An ability to work under pressure, and manage and prioritise multiple workstreams Analytically and data savvy, and commercially strong Able to coach and develop a team to raise performance M&A and Private Equity experience preferred
