Finance Manager | Trafford | £50,000 - £55,000 | Private equity backed SME | ACA/ACCAAxon Moore are working with a private equity backed, highly acquisitive SME who are looking to recruit a technically capable Finance Manager to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and ambitious individual, with a development plan to becoming the Group Financial Controller. 

This role will report directly into the Group Finance Director and play a pivotal part in the continued growth of the company. With extensive exposure to the investors this is a superb role to shape and develop your career within a private equity backed environment. 

Responsibilities include: 

 

 

  • Prepare monthly management accounts together with relevant variance and ad hoc analysis
  • Ensure balance sheet is fully reconciled
  • Implement financial governance and controls to instil strong control environment.
  • Oversee the processing of the accounts receivable and payable, with responsibility for timely cash collections and effective payment management.
  • Oversee the processing of monthly VAT and all HMRC interaction
  • Ownership of reporting to various external stakeholders e.g. lenders, banks, private equity house
  • Actively manage cash flow on a daily basis and forecast cash balances
  • Integrate future acquired businesses into the month end process and assist finance director with acquisition accounting
  • Support the business with continuous improvement initiatives on controls and procedures.
  • Collaborate with external auditors to ensure smooth running of year end statutory audit.
  • Support the Finance Director with trend analysis and financial forecasting

Ideal candidate:

  • ACA/ACCA qualified - ideally with an audit background
  • Deadline driven with excellent time management and attention to detail
  • A positive attitude to work, with good problem solving skills is essential to succeed in this role
