Management Accountant

Management Accountant | Bury| £40,000 - £50,000 | PE backed SME

Axon Moore are working with a high growth SME who have created a new role for a Management Accountant to join the team. You will be expected to come in and take ownership of month end, allowing the FC to focus more on the strategy of the business. 

Reporting into the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for:

• Lead the processing and production of monthly management accounts including production of P&L, balance sheets, cash and business forecasts and related analysis
• Acting as a key business partner with the operational leaders, ensuring accurate business reporting and strong operational/cost control as well as identifying margin improvements and growth opportunities. 
• Prepare budgets including scenario planning and independent challenge. Roll out the approved budgets and ensure the operational team have a full understanding of financial expectations
• Responsibility for balance sheet, including reconciliations and supporting documentation
• Implementation and regular review of balance sheet reconciliations and controls
• Working with the Financial Controller, design, document and implement accounting policy within the area of responsibility

Ideal candidate:

• CIMA, ACCA or ACA Qualified however will consider QBE or part qualified 
• Competent in the production of monthly management accounts 
• Proactive approach, with an ability to build relationships across the business
• Team player with a positive outlook and a willingness to be ‘hands on’
