Hays are currently partnered with this phenomenal business, which has grown 14 times the size in just the last 5 years and continues to grow rapidly. With a headcount of only 4 finance professionals in 2017, the finance team now consists of 42 heads and they are looking for an experienced Finance Analyst to join their retail part of the business.

Your new role
The purpose of this role is to provide financial challenge, insight, and control to the Retail team to enable them to make business decisions that drive growth, add value and deliver against the strategic objectives of the business.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Provide timely and accurate monthly management information with commentary for review by the Finance Manager that demonstrates comprehensive understanding of cost drivers and variance analysis to budget, forecasts and prior year.
  • Identify drivers of overspend and support and challenge the Retail team to ensure delivery and control of their budget.
  • Support in the proactive continuous evolution of month end reporting and analysis to better communicate financial performance to key stakeholders.
  • Ensure balance sheet accounts are reconciled to agreed deadlines, feeding into a 'no surprise' culture with any risks and opportunities identified being shared.
  • Supporting the Finance Manager in the year-end process, preparation of deliverables for the audit and key contact for the auditors during the audit process for Retail related matters.
  • Understand the business processes, including related risks and controls


What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in the position you will be a Qualified Accountant who is experienced in month-end management accounts and reporting and have previous experience communicating and business partnering with key stakeholders.
You will be adaptable to change with a passion to learn and the desire to streamline processes and drive the business forward.
