Michael Page are recruiting for a Commercial Finance Manager for a business in Halifax, West Yorkshire.

The business provides business critical services to a number of different customer sectors, including care homes, universities, hospitality and leisure. The company is private equity owned and has grown significantly over the last few years, expanding into new areas to increase their offering to their clients.

Description

This is a newly created role reporting to the Finance Director and is a wholly commercial role, responsible for being a business partner to Operations.

You'll be analytical, inquisitive and have excellent attention to detail, as well as being a team player.

Responsibilities will include;

* Analyse key KPIs and P&L performance in order to provide high quality insight to the business, helping to identify potential areas for margin improvement

* Development and preparation of monthly KPI reporting and Operational Review packs

* Support on month end reporting and business reviews

* Lead regular reviews and provide business partnering support to Operational Managers regarding operational and financial performance, both on a regular and ad-hoc basis

* Support with the annual budget and forecasting process

* Work with the business and the tech team to further refine the MI and key/critical reports

* Identify opportunities to drive improvements in reporting and analysis

* Analysing large and often multiple data sets to monitor performance, highlight trends and model possible scenarios

* Other ad-hoc duties as required ad hoc duties as and when required

Profile

Qualified (ACCA/ACA/CIMA), either from Practice or Industry

Excellent attention to detail

Advanced Excel skills

Confident and articulate communicator
