Interim Rents and Service Charges Manager - West Kent - 6-9m FTC - Up to £65k FTE - CIMA, ACCA, ACA

This is a fantastic opportunity to join this leading property business based in the west Kent area as an Interim Rents & Service Charges Manager.

Your new role
This is a Senior Finance Manager position responsible for managing the rents and service charge teams within the Finance Function. Responsible for rent and service charge setting, Service charge statements and financial modelling for rents and service charges.

Responsibilities:
* Responsible for compliance with the rent standard, commonhold and leasehold reform act and other legislative requirements in relation to rents and service standards
* Responsible for the management of the rents and service charge teams, including project management of key deliverables within this area and personal development of staff
* Responsible for the financial modelling of rents and service charges to inform budget setting, contractual renewals and other key decision making
* Responsible for the operational management of the annual rent setting and service charge setting policy including the annual review by the Board
* Responsible for planning communications with customers in relation to rents and service charges * Oversee the process for setting Service Charges for New Build Development schemes
* Oversee customer contacts in relation to rents and service charges
* Lead process improvements in rents and service charges, including a review of end to end process across the business, apportionment methodology review and BAU contact for a new Housing Management system implementation.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be an accomplished Finance Manager with a relevant financial qualification such as CIMA, ACCA or ACA with up to date knowledge of the accounting regime Housing Associations operate within. Substantial experience of leading rent and, or service charge processes or similar within a busy organisation. Demonstrated experience of ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, and regulations in relation to rents and service charges. Accomplished staff management skills with strong influencing and communication skills, personal drive and ambition to make a difference while working effectively with colleagues, partners and stakeholder groups. Experience of leading substantial, and successful business transformation and change / improvement management experiences would be desired.
