Description

The Finance Manager is mainly responsible for supervising, guiding, and developing a team of highly motivated accountants to provide excellent management accounting services as well as reporting according to IFRS and local accounting principles for various countries. They are also a reference point of contact for several stakeholders like country finance directors, other streams (O2C/P2P/FP&A) as well as external partners like auditors and/or tax inspectors. There will also be involvement in a number of commercial projects relating to globalised working processes, FP&A and leadership programmes

Primary Responsibilities:

· Management of a team 4 accountants (evaluation/development) and staffing (recruitment, hiring, onboarding, training)

· Coordinating the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities including reporting of results

· Review of the cost accounting process

· Balance Sheet analysis and reconciliation review

· Review of VAT reports and declarations

· Lead internal & external audits by taking a coordination role, being first point of contact to auditors

· Support the implementation of new accounting processes and tools

· Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures

· Contribute to projects alongside the global delivery excellence team


Profile

Primary Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant - ACA, ACCA or CIMA
  • Strong team management experience & technical accounting background preferred
  • Experience in a complex or large business
  • Adaptability, Accuracy, Pro-activity, Responsibility and Problem-solving skills
  • Ambitious to progress and develop in the long term
