A newly created opportunity in a rapidly growing organisation based in Bristol. The PPA Specialist will ensure all acquisitions requiring a separate purchase price allocation (PPA), fair value adjustments on acquisition and an assessment of intangible fixed assets, do so in a timely and accurate manor.

Description

The PPA Specialist is responsible PPA determination, fair value adjustments and valuation of intangible fixed assets for material acquisitions. These may be material by size, nature or country.

  • Establish the in-house PPA function and the migration of work from external service providers in a timely manner
  • Ensure all acquisitions requiring a separate purchase price allocation (PPA) , fair value adjustments on acquisition and an assessment of intangible fixed assets, including customer lists, do so timely, completely and accurately
  • To lead the development of the PPA process in terms of its timeliness and quality
  • Ensure compliance with FPPP, UK SoX and other equivalent internal control requirements via a robust auditable PPA process
  • Provide continuous liaison and effective communication with the auditors at Group level to ensure a smooth audit cycle with any/all issues effectively communicated and resolved on a timely basis.

Profile

Key requirements:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant with significant post qualification experience
  • Willingness to learn and can do attitude
  • Ability to manage colleagues (internal and external) effectively to ensure deliverables are met
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment - resilience and flexibility is key
  • Strong attention to detail, hands on approach, not just about managing also about doing
  • Deadline focused, and willing to put in the effort required to ensure they always meet them
  • Ability to build relationships with local country CFOs, M&A team and external advisors
  • Excellent communication skills, and project management lead experiences
  • Ideally have a proven record in the calculation of PPAs and valuation of intangible fixed assets, including an international environment, which might have been gained from working in a similar in house or professional services role
