Your new company
This well established and fast-moving operational business have been in the local area for many a year and are well-known in their specialist field.

Your new role
Due to an internal promotion, they are now looking to appoint a Financial Accountant, to join the stable team, reporting directly into the Financial Controller and acting as a support to them in financial controls. Responsibilities will include

  • Timely completion of monthly management accounts.
  • Assisting in the preparation of Statutory Accounts.
  • Assisting in the preparation of Corporation Tax returns.
  • Maintenance of Sarbanes Oxley Internal Control Questionnaires and narratives and carrying out any required testing.
  • Liaising with internal and external auditors.
  • Responsible for the preparation of the Balance Sheet matrix and participation in quarterly accounting reviews.
  • Assisting with the preparation of Group VAT return, Intrastat.
  • Continuously monitoring procedures and changes to help ensure ongoing financial control.
  • Preparation of reports and information as required by the business.
  • Any other duties, which you may be asked to complete to ensure the efficient running of your department


What you'll need to succeed

It is essential that you have either completed or are actively studying towards the ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification and have a proven track record working in a role recently of similar stance. Good all-round skills in finance are a must and need to include statutory accounting and management reporting. Confidence, drive, professionalism, and commitment are key.
