A critical role within the FP&A team, providing key commercial analysis to the exec, supporting the business in understanding and controlling performance including labour spend, gross profit, and pricing. The successful candidate will have experience of business partnering at an operational and director level, as well as have a strong track record of owning, producing and developing timely, accurate and insightful performance reporting and analysis.

A 20 year history who have gone through an IPO process and has a market capitalization of circa £300m with 205 sites across the country. A strong track record of our performing the general industry competition (pre and post-covid) and has emerged from lockdowns in a strong position with a plan to open around 30 new sites this year. Description

The Finance Business Partner role is a critical role within the FP&A team, reporting to the Head of FP&A. The role provides key commercial analysis to the exec, supporting the business in understanding and controlling performance including labour spend, gross profit, modelling and pricing. The successful candidate will have experience of business partnering at an operational and director level, as well as have a strong track record of owning, producing and developing timely, accurate and insightful performance reporting and analysis. Experience within the hospitality sector / multi-site retail is a bonus but not essential.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Deliver Financial and KPI analysis on weekly and period performance
  • Providing data driven insight to the Directors and Regional Operational teams in order to enable decision making and optimize the growth of the business
  • Own the brand budgeting and forecasting process for P&L and cash flows
  • Support the design and development of reporting improvement programme
  • Look for efficiencies in FP&A tasks and commercial opportunities in the business

Profile

  • Qualified Accountant with appropriate post qualified experience
  • Team player who can work within the team to deliver collective priorities
  • Able to thrive in a dynamic and fast changing business
  • Able to challenge existing ways of working
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to present financial information to non financial people
  • An ability to deal with detail but also to see the bigger picture
  • Strong excel skills, experience with BI tools a bonus
  • Tenacity to pursue issues and cut through to key points
