About the Position

As the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) located at their head office in the West Midlands, this is a key role reporting directly to the CFO, with regular exposure to the CEO. You will be an integral part of the Finance Leadership Team and Senior Management Group.

As the leader of a new team, you will be responsible for developing the team into proactive business partners that provide value added actionable insights. Working in partnership with the business you will develop a suite of leading indicators and forward-looking analytics that will enable accelerated growth through identifying and driving strategic, operational, and financial initiatives.

You will be accountable for managing all monthly financial local and group reporting submissions, forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning processes.

You will have a good modelling and scenario planning expertise and the ability to integrate external data with internal data to generate actionable insights.

You will be responsible for developing new innovative technology to simplify and automate planning and reporting processes to enable your stakeholders to adapt to ever changing business with faster, better analytical, and actionable insights.

Candidate Profile

For this new and high-profile Head of FP&A opportunity in the West Midlands, you must be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with significant post-qualified FP&A experience (preferably in a PE environment)

  • A track record of leading and developing teams building strong relationships with senior management in a complex organisation
  • Experience of deploying new technologies for insight and analysis
  • You must be comfortable driving change and be someone who thrives in a transformational environment
  • A continuous improvement mindset with a focus on adding value to a business. Business partnering experience is essential
  • The role requires a strong relationship builder with personal credibility, and high impact communication and presentation skills, who can influence at all levels
  • Advanced Excel skills and an excellent knowledge of other business performance management systems
