Client Details
Michael Page Finance are working with a rapidly growing PE backed business within a stable sector. Our client is a Healthcare Insurance business seeing major growth due heavy investment which will continue over coming years - the investors are not looking for a quick sell, this is long term! The Finance Business Partner role is a blend of FP&A and Finance Business Partnering.
This Finance Business Partner role will facilitate extensive engagement with the Managing Director as one of the key stakeholders, for this reason you will need to really tell a story about financial data and support on key performance indicators, market share and ensuring all data is factually correct and accurate. You will play a key role in pure FP&A activity including business planning, budgeting, modelling, monthly reporting, and data analysis.
Description
As Finance Business Partner, your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Production and development of key reporting packs including weekly flash results, monthly MI, department dashboards etc to support decision making and track performance against KPIs
- Working with key leaders to analyse key commercial drivers/decisions and their financial and operational impact on the business eg pricing, margin, purchasing, capex investment, marketing effectiveness, volume analysis, rebates, customer analysis, customer services performance, capacity optimisation
- Ownership & development of models for analysing internal and external sources of industry and competitor data and using this data to assess impact and potential opportunities for Group performance
- Ownership of key reconciliations across data systems (operating system, management reporting, BI) supporting "one version of the truth" data construct
- Supporting senior leadership team with report content
- Maintaining an impartial view supported by strong data analytics
- Analysis of competitor activity to help inform for key decision making eg pricing
- Ad hoc analysis as required by senior management or other departments in the Group
- Co-ordinating departmental budget/forecast submissions
- Analysing previous budgets and forecasts and performing variance analysis to explain movements
- Production of key budget/forecast input assumptions, and providing challenge where appropriate
- Contribute to the development of budget/forecast models to understand future performance and guide business strategy
Profile
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced application knowledge of MS Office suite in particular Excel.
- Experienced working with high volumes and tight deadlines while prioritising workloads
- Key attention to detail and personal/professional accountability
