Commercial Finance Accountant

This fantastic opportunity would suit a recently CIMA / ACCA qualified accountant looking to support both commercial and operational teams with financial reporting and analysis. The ideal candidate for this role would be a commercially minded, IT savvy accountant with strong management accounting and financial analysis skills, able to deliver meaningful data to the wider business whilst also supporting the finance team at month end and assisting the Financial Controller. The key duties for this Commercial Finance Accountant position will include:

• Preparing the group budget through close liaison with all departments
• Producing detailed forecasts that drive performance
• Preparing variance analysis reports based on key metrics
• Financial modelling and scenario based planning
• Analysis of commercial and operational margins
• Improving pricing accuracy and cost / overhead control
• Reconciliation and analysis of data from multiple systems
• Consolidating site financial reports into Excel
• Assisting with annual audit and month end duties
• Supporting acquisitions and integrating financial systems

A key part of this role will involve manipulating large amounts of data, creating presentable findings and communicating this in a credible manner across the business, providing commentary and context that can be used to drive change and improve both operational performance and profitability.
