Financial Accountant - Real Estate - OUR CLIENT is a large European real estate investment company who add value to real estate investment and development opportunities, providing investors with access to real estate that is managed centrally by highly experienced and innovative managers with local knowledge, support and access to deal flow. The company manages a £multi-billion diverse portfolio of real estate investments. Due to expansion, they are looking for a recently qualified Financial Accountant to join the Financial Reporting team.

 

THE ROLE: Working closely with 3rd party Property Managers and Asset Managers on the day to day financial reporting of SPV entities, the responsibilities of this role will include but are not limited to:

  • Preparation of the monthly management reporting for each SPV and the assets it owns under both local and group reporting GAAPs.
  • Preparation of detailed and high-quality monthly variance analysis.
  • Preparing of yearend financial statements and assisting with yearend audits.
  • Assisting on the tax compliance for each SPV including quarterly VAT reporting.
  • Liaising with 3rd party providers to ensure delivery of timely and high-quality reporting.
  • Cash management including monthly distributions.
  • Supporting the treasury team with lender covenant reporting.
  • Working with the Asset Manager to provide ad hoc financial analysis.
  • Ad hoc finance tasks and project work as requested.

 

THE PERSON: To apply, you must be a newly qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA) with up to 2 years of post-qualified working experience, preferably in real estate as well as possessing strong academic record along with strong analytical skills. You should be a confident Excel user and preferably have some knowledge of property management systems such as YARDI/MRI QUBE or similar. It is important you have good a working knowledge of IFRS. The role will suit a well organised person who has confident and proactive approach to work and being able to build professional and effective team relationships. Willingness to contribution to the wider finance teams goals and projects is also important.
