SF Recruitment is currently recruiting a Group Financial Controller for a manufacturing company in South Derbyshire. The role is reporting into the Finance Director and the main purpose of the role is to develop the control environment and manage the day-today accounting function across the Group. To produce monthly management accounts for the Group and to provide ad-hoc support to the Group Finance Director. The role offers Hybrid and Flexible working with some travel to different offices.

Key responsibilities

- Management of Monthly Consolidation of Group Results including consolidated monthly accounts for the board, senior execs and banks
- Monthly group forecasting
- Manage the year end Budget
- Analysis and scenario planning
- Monitoring financial performance of the Group, providing analysis and commentaries
- Reporting and variance analysis
- Year end statutory accounts and taxation process, including liaison with the external auditors and tax advisors 
- Support mergers and acquisition activity including preparation of business cases, and integration of acquired entities
- To oversee and improve the control environment across the Group
- Prepare and submit HMRC returns (PAYE & VAT) for the Group
- To provide ad-hoc support to the Group Finance Director

You will be a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent) with previous experience of working in a senior finance position with a growing SME. This is a really exciting opportunity to make the role your own and progress your career.
