A recent review of the finance function has identified the requirement for a Finance Manager to be the primary contact for the supply chain function, improving controls and driving operational efficiency through reporting and analysis. Based at their state of the art production and distribution facility, with the option to also work on a hybrid basis this will be a highly visible role suited to someone who enjoys driving change and challenging the status quo. Suitable candidates could be either be part / fully qualified or QBE preferably with supply chain finance experience gained from a manufacturing / distribution environment. The key responsibilities for this position will be:

  • Preparation of the financial reporting pack for supply chain areas
  • Producing the management accounts and month end close down
  • Developing accurate budgets and forecasts
  • Reporting on overhead and labour costs
  • Monitoring stock and forecasting potential issues
  • Reporting on distribution costs with variance analysis to forecast
  • Preparing financial models to plan operational requirements
  • KPI development for production and logistics
  • Driving cost saving methodologies to reduce expenditure
  • Costing new products and modelling price changes

This role will be very varied as the business continues to evolve and as such has a number of growth associated challenges. The ideal candidate would therefore be a good trouble shooter who enjoys project work and is able to resolve issues by working with the wider finance team and colleagues in other departments. You must have excellent IT skills, particularly Excel and experience of ERP systems would also be highly beneficial.

On offer is a competitive salary with annual bonus, excellent professional development and career opportunities with the added benefit of a flexible hybrid working pattern.
