Financial Accountant

Are you a Financial Accountant with experience in the manufacturing industry? Would you like to play a key part in the future of a well-established manufacturing company?

Our client in the Bury area is part of a large multi-site manufacturing group and needs your skills.

As the Financial Accountant, you’ll report directly to the FD and take responsibility for the company’s financial reporting. From your previous experience, you’ll already have a good idea of the duties involved. But, briefly, they will cover areas such as:

• Producing monthly management reports for the board and SMT
• P&L and balance sheet reconciliations
• Completing VAT returns, HMRC payments, and Corporation tax calculations
• Cost-centre reporting and analysis
• Being the key contact for auditing

In addition, the company would also like you to focus on improvement projects such as ERP system usage, presentation of reports, and any external variables that may affect the business.

To succeed in this role, you will likely be a newly qualified accountant, ACA or ACCA, with experience working with manufacturing companies. A background in auditing is ideal but not essential.

You’ll be a naturally proactive person with a keen eye for detail and a desire to improve the systems around you.
