Partner Financial are working with a growing e-commerce business based in London. The business has a plan to grow their market presence and to maximise their current portfolio, whilst also looking to add to it through acquisitions. As a result, the finance team is going through a transition with several exciting projects over the next months including recruiting and developing the team.
Reporting to the CFO, this role will support and partner with senior management and the external developers making it an ideal opportunity for someone who is adept with large data sets and is a natural communicator.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing the link between the delivery partner team and senior management, ensuring timely information is provided to enable informed business decisions to be made including critical debt drawdowns
- Ensuring consistency between accounting records and project reporting on value of works completed against phasing of expenditure for forecasts, budgets, and long-term plans
- Developing a management information pack for senior management on commitment, value of work and cashflow for actuals, forecasts, and long-term plan
- Flagging risks and opportunities throughout the project compared to forecasts, plans and cashflow projections
- Challenging projects managers on the forecast spend on all capital projects
- Developing appropriate models to project monthly capital cashflows for inclusion in group cashflow models
- Liaising with the CFO to determine how project assets should be brought into use in terms of both timing and splitting into recognisable assets
- Identifying and implementing process improvements within the team and across the business e.g., developing tracking and reporting system optimising the capability of the projects module
The Candidate:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
- Able to deliver with exceptional levels of accuracy, placing a high regard on achieving excellence
- Forward thinking, organised and inquisitive, with experience supporting and delivering group project work to senior stakeholders
- Self-motivated, able to work under pressure and driven to succeed
- Excellent IT skills, including Excel, and the ability to learn new IT systems and processes
- Strong communication skills.
