Are you a specialist Payroll Administrator wanting a new part-time challenge in a growing business based in Dudley?

If so, we are looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator who can take on full responsibility for all aspects of payroll administration and improve aspects of Human Resources administration. You will be part of a small finance team reporting directly to the Finance Director. The role will primarily focus on ensuring that payroll is accurately managed and delivered each month and that HR administration is completed.

Key responsibilities:

  • To manage all aspects of monthly payroll and ensure the overall start and finish payroll process is completed promptly, including monthly payroll reconciliation;
  • Processing all starter and leaver forms and providing resolution of all payroll queries and issues;
  • Reporting pension and ensuring all administration is complete;
  • Review Statutory calculations and processing of SSP, SMP, and SPP;
  • Complete HMRC submissions P60 / P11d / P45, including year-end returns;
  • Processing payroll journals;
  • The internal administration of the payroll for monthly employees of c48, including overtime calculations, absence processing and maintaining confidential employee files;
  • Continuous improvement of the HR function, including On boarding, Absence Management, HR document control, Staff benefits, and the development & improvement HR software package;
  • Involved in Health & Safety document administration and Company communications;
  • General office admin support and shared reception duties - greet visitors, answer phone and distribute calls;

Experience Required

  • Experience processing payroll from start to finish;
  • Knowledge of legislation and rules of tax, with experience processing tax year end & HMRC RTI;
  • Respect for the confidentiality of information and data protection;
  • Able to manage time effectively and efficiently and work to deadlines;
  • Good attention to detail;
  • Willing to learn new skills with a continuous improvement mindset;
  • Proactive and positive approach to all tasks undertaken;
  • Excellent communication skills and can deal with both internal and external people;
  • Adaptable to new systems and good working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office.

You will in return, receive:

Salary: 22,000-25,000 per year pro rata for part-time

Hours: Suitable for Part or Full time with flexible working

Benefits: Pension DIS cover 4x earnings

Holidays: 25 plus bank hols (pro rata for part-time employees) + Statutory

Other Perks: Onsite parking, hybrid office working (no fixed times but employees can work from home for part of the week)
