Management Accountant

This role will report directly to the Head of Finance. and support in completion of management accounts, board packs, balance sheet recs, helping to improve processes etc (spec attached). This role requires someone who can be flexible and hands on as the role will have exposure & involvement across the business. Strong excel skills are required in order to build reports, and MI.

My client are a small group specialising in business services. They are looking to strengthen and improve their finance team.

Description

• Preparation of monthly management accounts; Group and Board packs including variance analysis and subsequent investigations
• Improvement of the month end close process
• Preparation of key balance sheet reconciliations- Work with Finance assistants to manage and improve transactional processes
• Management of MI/BI across the business
• Report building via Quicksight (BI analytics platform)
• Working with the data warehouse providers to implement required changes and UAT changes through to release
• Budgeting and forecasts as and when required
• Financial model building
• Manage daily interactions during course of the annual audit
• Assist Group Finance where needed
• Any other duties in keeping with the role

Profile

• Management accounts experience, and ideally some commercial/ analysis experience
• Looking for a progressive, fast paced and hands on environment
• Strong excel skills

Job Offer

• Salary up to £50,000
• Potential for a car or car allowance
• Contracted hours are 9-5 (35 hours) but there is flexibility on this
• 25 days holiday

• This role will ideally be 100% office based but there is some flexibility to work from home
