Your new company
Hays are working in partnership with a highly reputable commercial services organisation based in the heart of Ipswich. This company support a wide variety of operations and have a diverse portfolio of customers. They are looking for someone to join their busy finance team and support in the administration of the Sales Ledger

Your new role
The main purpose of the role is to support the Group FC in the provision of AR control to numerous group companies to meet financial obligations. More specifically you will be responsible for:

  • Recovery of overdue debt via phone, email and letter from both commercial and public customers
  • Raising Sales Invoices and posting sales information into the ledgers.
  • Intercompany recharges
  • Internal and external liaison in order to resolve queries
  • Providing adhoc reports
  • Liaise with external auditors before, during and after the audit, providing required schedules, reconciliation reports and any other required documents.
  • Maintaining sales reconciliations spreadsheets.
  • Uploading sales information on to local authority customer portals.
  • Managing inboxes for 9 separate entities


You may also be asked to support the wider finance with ad hoc tasks such as bank reconciliations, petty cash reconciliations, providing information on budgets and actual income and assisting with annual budgets and forecasting.

This is a full time role working 37 hours a week and ideally this would have some office presence but fully remote working will be considered.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have previous experience in a similar credit control, sales ledger or accounts receivable capacity. You will be highly organised and have exceptional communication skills. You will have excellent attention to detail and analytical skills, being able to manage large quantities fo data.
