Hays Senior Finance are delighted to be exclusively supporting a superb retail and manufacturing business based near Evesham with the recruitment of a Group Financial Reporting Manager.

Our client are market leaders within their field across the UK and, despite the best efforts of COVID, the company have experienced excellent growth in recent years and have a strong order book/exciting expansion plans in place moving forward.

Your new role
In this newly created, high-profile role, you will support the Group Financial Controller by taking ownership of the Group's internal and external reporting process, providing excellent technical support to the business and managing a team of 3.

Main duties:

  • Managing financial reporting across the Group
  • Production of consolidated management and statutory accounts for the Group and its subsidiaries
  • Preparation and analysis of month-end results to comply with Group format and timetables
  • Compilation of monthly and quarterly Board reports for presentation to Senior Management
  • Production of annual corporation tax computations
  • Liaison with external Auditors to ensure smooth audit of year-end accounts
  • Consolidating the annual budget into Group format
  • Completion of balance sheet reconciliations
  • Completion and submission of VAT and National Statistics returns
  • Management of technical accounting areas to include IFRS16
  • Act as a business partner to the finance team and assist in financial accounting related queries

What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA) with post-qualification experience
  • Strong technical accounting skills developed ideally within a practice/audit environment
  • Experience of Group consolidations and financial accounting
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with both national and international teams
  • Curious mindset with the willingness to look into things and offer advice/recommendations
  • Engaging, energetic and proactive approach to work
  • Self-starter and able to work on own initiative
  • Experienced using Excel (SQL, Pivot Tables, LookUps, SumIFs, Formulas)
