Urgent need for a Finance Manager for expanding business in Norwich. Exciting expansion plans ahead.

Your new company
A rapidly expanding business in Norwich are looking for a Finance Manager / Company Accountant to take the lead on all financial reporting across their two businesses. This an ideal opportunity to make an immediate impact on internal processes etc.

Your new role
In this Finance Manager / Company Accountant job you will be responsible for supporting a finance assistant in their ledger processing duties allowing you to produce detailed management accounts including budget vs. actual spend analysis on projects as well as Head Office overhead costs. The business is linked to CIS sub-contractors which will involve reviewing stage payments and accrued costs that can be invoiced as key stages and re-valued if needed. This of course will involve extensive cashflow analysis to ensure key invoice dates are monitored. You will also undertake bank reconciliations, VAT returns, balance sheet and control accounts.

One of the key aspects of the role will be taking responsibility of their Sage accounts system and ensuring internal controls are implemented and all relevant paperwork has been updated. The business has these processes in place but as the businesses grow they are keen to strengthen the processes and streamline reporting hence they are willing to agree a bonus payment after 6-months subject to key performance indicators.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a confident, commercially aware Part-Qualified / Qualified Accountant or Qualified by experience Finance Manager who has excellent problem-solving skills and able to take ownership in producing detailed management accounts for the Managing Director / Business Owner. We expect you to be confident with Excel and financial accounting systems as well as broad commercial awareness in supporting a SME business.

What you'll get in return
The organisation offers a competitive salary between £38,000 - £40,000 depending on experience as well as a bonus to be paid after 6-months provided key KPI's are achieved. Up to 33-days holiday including bank holidays (based on service), BUPA, on-site parking, pension and hybrid-working available subject to probation period.
