Your new firm
This long standing, local independent firm is seeking to bring in a new senior accountant. This fantastic opportunity has arisen through an extended period of company growth and has lead to the need for an experienced accountant to pick up work off of the partners. Long established in Chester this firm mostly works with OMB clients with under £1million turnover across various industries.

Your new role
As a senior accountant, you will take ownership over a small portfolio of clients which will grow as time goes on. You will manage their end-to-end statutory accounts as well as VAT and some ad-hoc bookkeeping. You will act as the first port of call for you clients, answering and helping with any questions or queries whilst also assisting with any other matters they may need help with. You will also help and play and active role in the coaching and mentoring of junior members of staff as well as potentially delegate some work down to them.

What you'll need to succeed
The firm are seeking a qualified or qualified by experience candidate who possesses strong previous experience within practice. The ideal candidate will have up to date knowledge of accounting standards and procedures and possess a good working knowledge of relevant accounting systems and softwares. Furthermore, as this is a client facing role, the ideal candidate will possess good interpersonal skills, able to develop and maintain long lasting professional relationships.

What you'll get in return
In return you will receive a highly competitive salary of between £30,000 and £38,000 with fantastic progression opportunities from manager up to director. You will work in a close-knit and friendly team and continuously develop your skills within practice.
