Your new company
Join highly reputable independent tax practice as a Corporate Tax Manager or Assistant Manager. This multi-office firm are a highly specialised tax practice that deliver market-leading advisory projects that rival that of the Big 4. They cover that spans all aspects of tax advice including, corporate & international tax, private client, employment tax, VAT, transactions, share schemes & valuations and Innovations (R&D) relief. They work will a highly varied client base, across large companies and listed businesses to start-ups and SMEs. They have offices in the North West and Midlands regions and offer a highly attractive hybrid working model. They are looking to fill two corporate tax vacancies either at manager or assistant manager level.

Your new role
Your new Manchester based role as a Corporate Tax Manager / Assistant Manager will be to help maintain and further capitalise on the continued growth of their existing department in the tax advice field. This team deal with claims pertaining to corporate restructuring, M&A and due diligence, share schemes, complex corporate tax compliance and UK inbound and outbound corporate tax advice. This role will involve the preparing and delivering of a variety of types of corporate tax advisory and compliance assignments. You will manage projects utilising and managing other firm staff on behalf of your clients, managing these projects from a process and client relationship perspective.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this Manchester based job opportunity as a Corporate Tax Manager / Assistant Manager you will need to be CTA and/or ACA qualified and have a proven track record in the field (minimum 4-5 years), having worked in a similar capacity in an accountancy practice or in an industry company. You will need a highly developed understanding of corporate tax advisory, with experience dealing with large and small companies alike to put to use across different sectors. You will have a keen eye for spotting other opportunities for your new client base and sell wider firm services when possible. You will need to be accurate and articulate when dealing with clients and managing their expectations of timelines and projected rebate returns.
