My client is a successful and well respected B2B Manufacturing company based in St Helens.
This long-standing and profitable owner managed business has t/o in excess of £30m with exciting plans to grow over the next few years.
Reporting directly to the FD and business owners, the responsibilities in this new Cost Accountant role will include collecting data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory, subcontractor, labour and overhead associated with manufactured Products.
- Monitor/manage the Standard Cost system and analyse costs.
- Responsible for the accuracy and reliability of the manufacturing Standard Costing inventory records, through analysis and working with Operations on continuous process improvement of inventory control and reporting.
- Prepare weekly report detailing manufacturing variances and absorption.
- Assist with month-end close, including report and explain variances between actual and standard cost.
- Support the Sales and Operations teams with ad hoc data analysis to assist commercial decision making within the business.
Candidate profile:
- Strong Manufacturing and Cost Management experience.
- Strong Excel skills with excellent data manipulation and reporting experience.
- Ability to manage priorities and deadlines.
- Experience with bill of material management and variance analysis.
- Proactive and collaborative approach.
